Absolutely the worst facility.The nurses are overworked and shorthanded which affects the patients.I could go on and on but my suggestion is to stay away.

Outdated rooms, constant under staffed, some aids are caring, some aids are not and some aids were down right cruel and should be dismissed. Pt is only once a day and saff does not follow their recommendations to get patient mobile. The OT & PT staff was helpful. The food was acceptable. Overall my stay was mostly be rest and I needed to be moving. If you have a love one in this place visit often or they are at the mercy of the staff.

My mom got cov 19 staying at this nursing home. And krostin in social work is horrible unethical uncaring she set up a discharge plan for my mom without me even knowing they are trying to kick her out with only 2 aids in place a buffalo ny agency . Then the responsibility is all put on me which I have a disability myself I cant take care of my mom. They dont care because she has medicaid they want her out not caring if the aids are reliable. Lynn is also unorganized and unethical she gave me wrong info before I somt think any of these people know what they are doing or care

If you are planning to go there or put a loved one in this place, think again. The rooms are dirty and outdated. Most of the staff is rude and uncaring. I lived there for 3 months and have to report that aids do not come in a timely manner to bring ice water or assist folks in the bathroom. Many times I pissed myself and then got yelled at by aids who had to remake the beds. I was told they were getting me on medicaid which did not happen. Now I get a bill for $19,000 every month, that's over 6 thousand a month! The food is terrible as well. A horrible place.

Even with family members watching every aspect of care,, basic needs of residents are ignored., such as having enough to drink or being taken to the bathroom...constant mixups on food and other basic services. Always short staffed and the residents suffer because of it. The few good staff that are there don’t outweigh all the others that do as little as possible.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Some of the lower staff were the best, most competant. There are too many patients assigned to the small number of staff and dr visits are rare. Too much authority given to the lower staff. If you have a loved one in this place be sure visit often, let the staff know someone is watching out for the patient. Lastly, all of my brand new gym clothes and sneakers were stolen, still in the box, right out of my bag.

The facility,it’s was clean, very attentive. I learned from Rehab even when I was lazy. They pushed to get me better. The nurses are great. The activities were great, they had entertainment that was great, they had my style music, and bingo was a lot of fun. Everything was great. I would give them a 99% out of 100%

Mom like the food and PT and OT but the place is filthy. The hallway hasn’t been vacuumed in the time she’s been there and the rooms get a quick cleaning but that’s it. Most of the staff is good, some adequate and a few useless. The administrator always seems to be in a bad mood. Head of nursing very nice and tries to help. Communication to the family is minimal.

i was here in spring of 2018. i have no complaints. the nurses and aides were always ready to help. the persons working in physical and occupational therapy departments were dedicated professionals. medical care was fine. the food was good and the were able to accommodate my dietary needs. a very satifactory experience.

Since new ownership has taken over this facility has been going downhill. Processed meals, dirty halls, bathrooms, and rooms. Understaffed most times. One LPN for 40 patients. Courtyards are disgusting. The only unit that shines is the rehab. Clean day rooms, fully staffed unit. This facility has many issues. This was rated as one of the best. Since new ownership it is going downhill.

My husband has been to Westhampton Care a couple of times. I thought it was cleaner two years ago, and the staff was nice, but they were more attentive back then where there was more of them. The place is very nice and relatively easy to get to. He stayed in a double room with curtains, and each person had a TV. He is a very fussy eater so the dietician accommodated his very picky eating habits. The dietician called me back and stayed on the phone for like an hour, then got the food I said my husband eats, so I was very happy with that. They allowed me to bring my dog there, which I loved. The dog was allowed in your bed and could stay for as long as you wanted. I think that was great.

If you have a lot of money, and you don't mind parting with it, this is the place for your loved one. You will spend a fortune by hiring a personal assistant to stay with your family member 24/7 to do all the work that the staff there does not do. (In fairness to the staff, there are very few there!) But the ones that are there, do not appear to have much compassion or common sense. A patient recently walked right on outside, and was not even discovered missing until an hour later! There is no excuse for delivery poor care.

My mother in law spent 14 years here. She called it home. At first she was in a unit due to her blindness. Was wonderful for her. We felt she was safe and happy. After years she went to a dementia unit. The dementia unit has issues. First not enough staff for this kind of care. High turnover in this unit. It is a difficult unit and I am sure stressful to work. My mother in law had just celebrated her 99th birthday. We got a call telling us she Wiggled out of her wheelchair, nothing major, was okay, just two little bruises the size of bug bites. Next thing we know she is in the hospital with bruises behind her ear, on her forehead, shoulder, arm, hand, leg and has a broken hip. 5 days later she passed away. When we went back to them asking for answers, three people on her unit didn't know what had happen as they just got back from vacation. Then we spoke with Marilyn and she also just got back from vacation. Is this how this happen, everyone in the place was on vacation or is this the running statement instead of we can't talk to you. Finally asst. to nursing spoke with us. A young woman who shouldn't be in this position as she acts like she is a valley girl with her mannerisms and speaking. We were told she was in the recreation room off to the side and the CNA had back to her, the rec person was on other side of room and they heard a thud and she was on the ground. Here are the million dollar questions, why weren't any alarms attached, or trays on the front of the wheel chair. Please be careful if your family member goes to this unit, they are understaffed and uneducated to safety procedures or know them just chose not to use them. When we went to pick up my mother in laws items, funny how alarms were suddenly attached and going off. Everyone was together being watched. Just be careful and done believe everything you are told.

Westhampton Care Center is the best nursing home and rehab center I have been to. My mom was a resident here and I could not have asked for better nurses, CNAs or staff. She was being very well cared for with every need met. My mom enjoyed the activities that were offered and the food was excellent. The facility also offers a very nice courtyard which is enclosed and very nice to sit out in the summer. This facility comes very highly recommended.

West Hampton Nursing is pretty good. The only thing is she's been here for quite some time and she's picking up staph infections so we're not very happy with that. She cleared up one thing and then she got another thing and we're just hoping that after this is cleared up she can go home. I have no complaints, she's getting great service here. They attend to whatever needs she may have. But the thing is she'll get these staph bacteria, and that's the only thing that's keeping her from having her go home. I think they need to sterilize the rooms.

This is really a very comfortable nursing home. The staff are very friendly and everything is very comfortable. The food is high-quality too. It is quite inexpensive and is a great option for senior citizens in the area who need this type of rest. They have highly-trained staff and there are even certain events you can participate in to have fun. My stay at the nursing home was a enjoyable one and there's even free food for visitors/guests! This was good for my family. They give all their guests a tour around the nursing home too. They really know ow to take great care of you. I've actually had bad experiences going to other nursing homes. There was one time when at a different nursing home i was he victim of food poisoning. Intentional or not, it didn't make me feel very secure. So I moved to this one. I highly reccomend this nursing home.
